The chemical dosing of an in ground or above ground swimming pool can usually be carried out quite simply. In most cases, all that is required of the pool owner is for them to carefully introduce the liquid or tablet to the pool water directly. On some occasions automated dosing may prove to be the best option. For instance, should you not be available to manage the pool each day then an alternative method of maintaining the correct chemical levels in the pool may be required.
It should be stated from the outset that automatic chemical dosing systems are not always the easiest option as the equipment will still require regular checking and adjusting. However, it is sometimes the only way forward, especially in pools with heavy bather loads - such as in schools or commercial pools.
A good option for the domestic pool owner is saltwater chlorination, where salt is added to the pool water and new equipment is installed in the plant room. This system creates chlorine and in turn doses your pool to the correct levels. If you are considering this method, it is necessary to seek advice in order to be sure that you existing chemical dosing equipment is suitable for use with salt water pools.
Take a look at the various saltwater chlorinators, chlorine / bromine feeders and chemical dosing pumps we have in stock. You can also check out our information page on salt water chlorination, or contact us to discuss the products you are interested in.
