In a salt-water pool (one with a salt chlorinator) the water feels smooth, your skin feels smooth and many people feel more refreshed. How does salt chlorination work?
Salt is pumped around the filtration system and passes over the charged plates of the salt chlorinator cell, this breaks down the salt into its natural components including chlorine. The chlorinated water filters back into the pool and is diluted into the rest of the water. Over time, the chlorine reverts back to salt and the cycle is repeated making this an environmentally friendly way to sanitise your swimming pool eliminating the need for using traditional sanitising chemicals.
